READY TO SCHEDULE A VISIT?

Looking to brighten someone’s day? Whether you're part of a school, healthcare facility, support center, or community organization, a visit from a Loving Paws therapy dog team can bring joy, calm, and meaningful connection to those you serve.

Our certified therapy dog teams are trained to provide emotional support in a variety of settings—including hospitals, classrooms, senior centers, mental health programs, and more. Each visit is tailored to your needs and designed to create a positive, heartwarming experience for participants.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A VISIT

Our visits are simple—and simply wonderful. Each Loving Paws team consists of a certified therapy dog and their owner, a trained handler, who will spend time connecting with your participants through calm, friendly interaction. All dogs remain on-leash and under the handler’s control at all times.

To ensure the wellbeing of our furry volunteers, visits are limited to one hour. After about 60 minutes of giving love and comfort, our pups need rest and recharge time!

All Loving Paws volunteers are covered under our liability insurance. (To schedule a visit, please scroll down.)

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR VISIT

Here’s how to help create an enjoyable experience for everyone—humans and dogs alike:

ENSURE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT

Safety is our top priority. Visits must take place in secure, dog-friendly spaces. If your event is outdoors, please plan for an indoor backup in case of rain, snow, excessive heat, cold, or high winds.

REMOVE TEMPTATIONS

Think like a dog! Please remove items like tennis balls, treats, or toys that may distract our pups from their work.

HELP MANAGE GUEST BEHAVIOR

Our handlers are trained to keep interactions safe and positive. We ask that you help monitor your guests, especially children, and gently redirect any behavior that could overwhelm or stress the dogs.

APPOINT AN EVENT LEADER

Having a designated contact to greet our teams upon arrival and show them where to go makes the visit run smoothly.

PROVIDE A ROOM TO RELAX

Most teams bring a blanket for their dog and guests to sit on. It’s helpful to have a comfortable space where we can spread out and engage with participants.

OFFER ACCESSIBLE, FREE PARKING

Our volunteers generously give their time. We ask that you provide nearby, no-cost parking to make their visit as easy and welcoming as possible.

CONSIDER A DONATION

As a small, volunteer-run nonprofit, we kindly suggest a $50 donation per visit to help support our work. This contribution helps us cover essential program costs—like training, supplies, and insurance—so we can continue bringing comfort and connection to those who need it most. Your support, at any level, helps keep the tails wagging and the healing happening.

That said, no one is ever turned away. If your organization is unable—or chooses not—to make a donation, we will still gladly visit. Our mission is about service, not cost.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR EVENT!

Please fill out the form below, and we will work with you to confirm a time that works for both your team and ours. Our Volunteer Manager will then coordinate and schedule the appropriate number of certified therapy dog teams for your visit.

While we make every effort to fulfill your request, occasionally unexpected circumstances—like a volunteer conflict or a pup feeling under the weather—may affect availability. If we are unable to provide the full number of teams or need to reschedule, we’ll communicate with you right away to make alternate arrangements.

Thanks for submitting!
